SECTION 1

The Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Act, 1980

•The Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Act, 1980 Act No. 63 of 1980 [26th December, 1980.] An Act further to amend the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Thirty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

SECTION 2

Short title and commencement

1.Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Act, 1980. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 23rd day of September, 1980.

2.[Amendment of sections 108, 109 and 110.] Rep. by the Repealing and Amending Act (19 of 1988), s. 2 and the First Schedule (w.e.f. 31-3-1988).

SECTION 11

Saving of pending proceedings under sections 108, 109 and 110

10.Saving of pending proceedings under sections 108, 109 and 110.- All proceedings under sections 108, 109 and 110 of the principal Act, pending before any Judicial Magistrate of the first class immediately before the commencement of this Act shall, notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, be dealt with as if this Act had not been enacted.
