The Indian Railways (Amendment) Act, 1983

•The Indian Railways (Amendment) Act, 1983 Act No. 44 of 1983 [25th December, 1983.] An Act further to amend the Indian Railways Act, 1890. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Thirty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

SECTION 2

Short title

1.Short title.- This Act may be called the Indian Railways (Amendment) Act, 1983.

SECTION 3

[Repealed.]

•2 . [Amendment of section 82A.] Rep. by the Repealing and Amending Act, 1988 (19 of 1988), s. 2 and the First Schedule (w.e.f. 31-3-1988).

SECTION 4

[Repealed.]

SECTION 5

SECTION 6

Validation

5.Validation.- Any action or thing taken or done or purported to have been taken or done under the principal Act before the commencement of this Act, shall be deemed to be, and to have always been, as validly and effectively taken or done as if the amendments made in the principal Act by sections 3 and 4 had been in force at all material times.
